Open-face Butter And Ontario Radish Sandwich

Ingredients:

1 bunch Ontario radishes, trimmed

Unsalted butter, room temperature

8 ¼-inch-thick diagonal slices baguette

Maldon sea salt or coarse kosher salt

Preparation: Place radishes in medium bowl of ice water and chill at least 30 min (up to 2 hours). Drain and slice thinly (using a mandolin or V-slicer). Spread butter generously over baguette slice; sprinkle lightly with sea salt or coarse kosher salt; arrange radish slices atop buttered bread slices and serve. Adapted from Bon Appétit, 2008.
