Is there anything better than a ripe nectarine? With a soft, melt-in-your-mouth quality, overt juiciness, and aromatic sweetness, nectarines are best eaten out of hand, but they can also be poached, grilled, baked, infused into drinks, or cooked down into compote or sauce. Nectarines are suitable to be used in any recipe calling for peaches.

White nectarines have a more delicate flavour than their yellow counterparts.
