Black radishes can be round or cylindrical in shape and are bigger than their red counterparts. Their flesh is crisp, white and slightly bitter and offers a hot radishy bite while their skin is quite spicy.

Our friend Nathan at Nith Valley just let us in on a little secret with these guys. They can be cooked to mellow out the flavour. Try them pan fried or roasted, or even in soup!
