These earthy Cinnamon Cap Mushrooms are not certified, but are grown to the organic standard for us by Kendal Hills Farm. Known as the “Nature Lover" these mushrooms truly exempllify the essence of the forest with a light, woodsy aroma. Hardy and capable of getting the job done, they maintain their rich, nutty taste even after a long day in the saucepan! They can be a little reserved, and really benefit from spending time with a dish as it cooks in order to draw out its earthy flavour, rich colour, and natural tenderness.
Whether in soups, sauces, stews, or risottos; after time the caps appear to melt, releasing intense flavour and colour. They are also wonderful sautéed, roasted, or grilled to a deep brown colour, and retain more of a crispy texture when left whole. Store them in a paper bag in your fridge for up to five days.
