Farms & Partners

Over 12 years cultivating relationships with the very best local farms, producers & artisans

Local Growers

Local Growers Local Growers

We believe the creation of a local food system, built on principles of sustainability and biodiversity, can be both financially sustainable for farmers and affordable for consumers.

We've spent more than a decade developing personal relationships with close to 60 local farmers and their families built on respect and trust as we're determined to help them grow. We want to put more food dollars into local farms so they can continue to grow the most nutritious and delicious produce while preserving farmland and biodiversity around Toronto.

Responsibly Raised Meat

Responsibly Raised Meat Responsibly Raised Meat

We searched high and low to find the farmers who are raising animals locally on real grass, feeding them real food, and treating them with real respect. Our promise is to share nothing but premium products with absolutely no added hormones, antibiotics, GMO feed or any other funny business. Just straight up quality, and unbelievable taste. So, here’s to feeling good about what you eat (and what you eat, eats too).

Fenwood Farm

Fenwood Farm

John and Carol Fennema started Fenwood Farm in Ancaster with the intention of raising nutritional gold. Free to roam in the sun when the weather is nice, their free-range White Rock chickens enjoy a diet rich in vitamins, herbs and probiotics to ensure that they don’t just live, they thrive.

Penokean Hills Farms

Penokean Hills Farms

In 2005, five families came together with a promise to provide Ontario’s best-kept secret: Red and Black Angus cattle raised in herds on the natural green pastures of the Northern shores of Lake Huron. They enjoy stress-free environments and are grass-fed and finished on a locally grown pea and barley blend.

Linton Pasture

Linton Pasture

Jeff and his heritage-breed pigs live on pasture in Huron County with the freedom to roam and forage with access to shelter as they please. He repurposes his cover crops to supplement the feed as part of his commitment to sustainability. This pork isn’t just out of this world in flavour, it’s making it better too.

Harley Farms

Harley Farms

The Harleys are raising their Red Rock chickens together in family groups near Keene, Ontario. They believe in keeping stress to an absolute minimum and maximizing access to fresh air, pasture and forage crops to raise them the way nature intended. With sustainability practises in place, their farm naturally regenerates with a 7-year cycle!

Sustainable Seafood

Sustainable Seafood Sustainable Seafood

We sought out to help you find the best of the best in sustainable Canadian seafood. Fisherfolk delivers the goods by working directly with the real ‘fisherfolk’ (they’ve been out on the boats and everything) just to be 1,000% sure that they never overfish (scout’s honour!). Plus, they pay their folk fairly so that they can afford to take care of our delicate lakes and, oceans too.

If that wasn’t enough, they also freeze ‘em up fresh-caught off the boat to lock in that holy-crap-this-is-the-best-seafood-I’ve-ever-had-in-my-entire-life feeling. Yep, it’s almost too good to be true.

Our In-House Kitchen

Our In-House Kitchen Our In-House Kitchen

We're always trying to build out the local food system and so in 2018 we decided to build our own state of the art kitchen as a natural extension of our farm fresh products. (It was like grocery shopping when you're hungry, nothing was off limits). Mama's Kitchen started with a team of top-notch chefs and experts creating dishes from scratch in the spirit of home cooking.

Our executive chef and team of food experts in Mama's Kitchen create seasonal salads, prepared meals, sides, soups and baked goods from scratch inspired by our local farms and seasons.
