Green Zebra Kitchen is a small family business owned by two brothers, Gregg and Dan Lewis. The initial inspiration for starting Green Zebra came from listening to their parents' stories about working in the family cheese shop and fondue restaurant in New York City in the 1970s. An interest in food politics, vegetarian philosophy and dealing with some critical family health problems led them to health supportive cooking.
Green Zebra was founded in 2006 to provide a healthy, plant-based meal delivery option in Toronto. The menu, which changes weekly, uses whole foods that are organic, gmo-free and gluten-free. Green Zebra meals incorporate LOTS of fresh vegetables, legumes, whole grains, a variety of nuts and seeds and fermented foods. The food is seasoned with high quality ingredients to create meals that everyone can enjoy.
Green Zebra salads and meals are available from Tuesday to Thursday. The cookie of the week is available Tuesday to Friday. All other products are available the full week.
