Mary Be Kitchen dishes up "whole food for the soul" in Toronto's revitalizing Yonge and St. Clair neighbourhood. It's food that is good for you, but free of the diets, gimmicks, fads and labels that can be intimidating for people. The kind of food you can eat every day and feel healthy and satisfied, not deprived. It's a sustainable and joyful way to be and to eat.
At lunch and dinner, guests can pick their own combo of freshly grilled proteins (including Ontario-raised chicken and beef, sustainably farmed salmon and organic tofu), roasted veggies, scratch-made salads, soups and stews. At breakfast, there is avocado toast (of course), poached free-range eggs, and house made buckwheat and pecan granola, among other things. And an all-day menu of Pilot espresso beverages, tea lattes and house made cold drinks on tap.
For owners Sarah and Sim, Mary Be is their fourth baby (they have three real babies at home) and a true labour of love. They are so excited to be sharing their Small Batch Red Lentil Dahl, which is one of Mary Be's bestselling menu items, but also a reflection of the diversity of the owners' own family and the amazing city that we live in. Canadian food at its finest.
