Rami Thabet started Prima Orchard 14 years ago. He's planted a variety of apple and pear trees, and intentionally picked varieties that would bear fruit from early August all the way until early November! Though not certified, he's well versed in the Organic Standards (he actually chose not be be certified in part because he takes issue with the clause in the regulations that allow farmers to spray if "crop loss is imminent"). He prides himself on running a no-spray orchard, no matter what the environment or climate conditions throw his way. Despite having a full-time job off farm, once the season is underway Rami ensures his trees are picked 3 times/week, to make sure the fruit is harvested at their peak.
