Lemon Parmesan Green Beans​

  • 1lb green beans, trimmed
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • zest of 1 lemon

​In a large pot of boiling salted water, blanch green beans until bright green, about 2 minutes. Cool in a bowl of ice water then drain well and set aside. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add garlic and cook, stirring frequently, until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in beans until tender-crisp and browned, about 3-4 minutes; season to taste. Stir in lemon juice. Serve garnished with parmesan and lemon zest. Adapted damndelicious.net​
