Cauliflower (Romanesco, sml)

It has tightly packed, green florets in a bewitching design. But, looks aside, romanesco is delicious. Its flavour is somewhere between broccoli and cauliflower, with a sweet nuttiness - and none of the slightly bitter edge cauliflower can have. Try this in a salad or with pasta!

Refrigerate cauliflower in a plastic bag. If you have more cauliflower than you need for a given recipe, refrigerate the extra in a plastic bag and trim off what you need in stages. Though it’s best enjoyed right after you buy it, uncooked cauliflower will keep for few days in the refrigerator.
